Tennis, Everyone?

After last night at Yankee Stadium, this morning we headed to Shea. We didn't make it past the parking lot, though, since we were only there to leave the car so we could go to the US Open.


The US Tennis Center is really impressive. So many courts, and so many ballboys and ballgirls. I wonder how old I have to be to apply...


I learned that the tennis balls are a lot bigger in person than they look on television.


Although he wasn't playing today, James Blake agreed to pose for a photo with us. He seems a lot flatter than I was expecting.


I didn't quite understand why tennis is such a quiet sport so I preferred the smaller courts where we could sit in the front row and heckle the unseeded players. I hope that next year I'll be able to go on daddy's shoulders instead of in the Bjorn (that will give me an even better view than the line judges).
