Haven't Been Separated Since Birth

As the two youngest girl cousins, Daisy and I have a very special relationship. Some people think we look like sisters and that is especially true because she shares her incredible wardrobe with me. What do you think?

The Whole Megil-Liana

Purim happens to be one of daddy's favorite holidays and now I know why! When else can you dress like a duck to go synagogue? I put my tri-webbed feet on in honor of the occasion.

What's more, I met Wonder Woman, one of my superheroine role-models.

Our rabbi was crowned pageant queen. Vashti, eat your heart out!

By the end of the evening it was getting late and boy was I grogger-y!

Wild Thing, I Think I Love You

While in San Diego with my close relatives, we visited some of our more distant ones at the Wild Animal Park.

I was particularly fond of the flurry of fuschia flamingos (do you like my alliteration?) given their pink hue. Daddy even bought me one to take home. Not a real one, silly.

Maybe it was because I was with mine, but I loved seeing the baby animals with their families.

One of my favorites was a family of ten lions. I guess the king of the jungle is allowed to have more than one queen since the seven babies have two mommies.

I'm a pretty cool cat too, in mommy's sunglasses.

By the end of our visit, mommy had the wild animals eating out of the palm of her hand.

Ca-Liana-fornia Dreaming

This weekend we met BoMa, BoPa, Aunt Abi, and Melissa in San Diego. I loved the front seat of my first (not-so-sporty, albeit red) rental car. When do I get to drive?

We took a walk on the beach...

...swam in the pool for hours...

...and went for a fantastic bike ride.

I also enjoyed my very first curly fry - or should I say fries?

We celebrated Aunt Abi's birthday a few days early. I brought ice cream cake and Cuddles the Clown made balloon flowers.

I loved spending time in the hotel lounge dancing to the live entertainment, eating bar snacks, and drinking agua on the rocks.

Speaking of water, I couldn't stay out of the pool, even when the weather was too chilly for a bathing suit.

Upon reflection, this was a great vacation. Thanks BoMa and BoPa!

Music to My Teeth

Today mommy and daddy took me to a concert: the Rock-a-Baby Jammies Awards.

We danced, sang, and blew bubbles, but since I'm now the proud owner of five teeth, I chose to use the instruments for something else...

I've got rhythm, I've got music, I've got my teeth, who could ask for anything more?

French fries with grandpa? Ok, I'll ask for that.

No Business Like Snow Business

I never saw so much snow as when mommy and daddy took me to see Uncle Spencer, Aunt Julie, Daisy and Oscar in Stockbridge for the weekend.

Mommy and daddy are always calling me their angel and here's mine (first snow angel ever):

I took daddy sledding. I think he was a little nervous but I let him hold onto me.

It was so cold that there was even ice indoors!

They didn't have skates small enough for my feet or big enough for daddy's, so we watched while mommy and Julie and Oscar skated.

Mommy is supposed to always be looking out for me, but I'm not so sure.

Today Oscar, Spencer, and daddy went tubing. I couldn't go up the big hill, but Daisy and I had fun at the bottom, even though we couldn't find the ski lodge and there was no cocoa.

I was so sad to leave my cousins...

But for the grand finale, in keeping with the theme of cold, white stuff, I got my first taste of ice cream!!!!!! (Daddy was especially proud and ate a pint in honor of my big day.)

And the Winner Is...

My caption contest was won by Uncle Spencer with the entry "Daddy, those are cool pictures! Why didn't the Patriots get a ticker tape parade?" Significant nepotism factored into my selection as did his excellent sportsmanship.
