Goodbye July!

I can't believe the month is almost over. I have had a lot of fun, being my granddaddys' little girl...

...and playing with my grandma and great-grandma who visited from Boston.

Great Aunt Marcia and Great Uncle Roger came in to have breakfast with us. I slept through the popovers, but heard they were scrumptious with strawberry butter.

We had a playdate with our neighbors Shoshana and Greg who are a lot of fun, even if Greg has a somewhat sensitive nose.

We met up with cousins Brian and Hara on the East Side. Mommy and daddy were not big fans of Pinkberry because it lacked the calories and fat of yummier frozen treats.

I am learning to clap...

Quite a Swinger

After my debut on the swingset in Newport this weekend, today we went to the playground and Aunt Julie pushed Daisy and me on the swings.

I love swinging...

...but not as much as I like being held - in this case by Becky on my visit to mommy's office yesterday.

On the way home from Newport we "swung by" my very first rest stop. We even bumped into the Kisskos which was a nice surprise.

Though I slept through it so didn't get to put my piggies in the sand, we went to the ocean. Hopefully next time I'll get to swing over some waves or build a sandcastle.

Smilestones

This was a big weekend for me...We traveled again to Newport to see my grandparents and Nana. On the way, our car surpassed 50,000 miles. My parents keeps telling me that that's twice the circumference of the earth, which is supposed to impress me or something. It's not like we've actually driven around the equator.

Speaking about moving along, my fan club is really gaining steam. By the time you read this, we will have surpassed 2,500 pageviews on my blog. Thanks for making me feel like a celebrity - Suri Cruise, eat your heart out!

I'm no longer that little newborn you used to see on the blog. Most of the time these days I'm lifting my head like a big girl.

But every so often I go kerplunking...

Can you believe I'm more than three months old and this was my first fortune cookie?

Here we are at my first baseball game at Cardines Field, home of the Newport Gulls.

I'm so small next to him, it's like Gully-ver's Travels. Ha!

Happy Halfiversary, Mommy & Daddy

Last night we fêted "Aunt" Celena's birthday.

Today mommy and daddy celebrated three-and-a-half years of wedded bliss. While obviously the past 97 days have been the best, I thought they deserved a night on the town so I babysat Grandma and Grandpa so they could be alone.

We had the best time playing and stretching and napping, and my newest trick: fist swallowing.

Mommy and daddy meanwhile had a lovely Turkish dinner and went swing dancing. That's enough time without me, though. Good thing we have the next 3 1/2 days together!

Liberté, Egalité, Sororité

I had a very busy Bastille Day. First, we drove daddy to work (mommy says I'm becoming a very good back-seat driver). While he was seeing babies even smaller than I, mommy and I went to the Farmer's Market in Hastings-on-Hudson. I can't wait for that yummy pesto breastmilk now that we own a basil plant.

After rounding, we had a lovely déjeuner with our favorite Francophiles, Rachel and Lynne. Check out the cool coordinating ensembles that Rachel's grandmother bought us!

A little R&R in the Gymini with daddy...

We then travelled all the way est for dinner avec Archibald Worthington III, his lovely wife Tiffany Bethesda, and their daughter Consuela. We're going to miss them when they move to Tokyo next month, but they promised to start a blog just like mine and to stay in touch by webcam.

C'est tout pour maintenant. A bientôt!

You Should Yushi!

Earlier this month Uncle Spencer opened Yushi and I finally got to have lunch there. It's on 47th between Park and Lex (its little sister restaurant is in the World Financial Center) and the place looks great.

Mommy said the food was delicious and the organic strawberry juice is not to be missed (she let me hold the pretty bottle)!

13 Weeks = 3 Months = Adorable Featherweight

Tonight is my three-month birthday. To celebrate, we went to Dean's, our new neighborhood place. The food was yummy, but unfortunately I fell asleep mid-meal. I wouldn't have had room for molten chocolate cake anyway.

Before dinner I went for a check-up. I am perfect, but lighter than any of my fans thought! While my cheeks and thighs seem substantial, I weigh only 12 pounds 7 ounces and am 23.5 inches tall. Dr. Yaker was running a few minutes late so we started a good story, Chris Gets Ear Tubes. We only got through the first half, but I can't wait to read what happens at my four-month visit!

Last night we had a delicious dinner at the Fisher's. Noah's mommy and daddy were lovely company and shh'ed excellently, but I wish Noah didn't have such an early bedtime!

These Booties Are Made for Walking

Mommy and I have been "walking" with several fun friends (in strollers, usually). From left to right: Benjamin (with mommy, Rachel), Claire (with mommy, Julia), Noah (with mommy, Kathy), Kate (with mommy, Kara), and me (with mommy).

Mommy, daddy, and I had a lot of fun with "Uncle" Josh in Mahopac. He sure is entertaining and I hope he moves east very soon.

Uncle Spencer, Aunt Julie, Oscar, and Daisy spent the weekend with us. It was great having all my cousins around.

Aunt Barbra knitted me this beautiful sock. I think another one is afoot (every pun intended). While my feet have a bit of growing to do before it will fit, it's almost too perfect to wear!

I love Grandma and Grandpa and they are wonderful hosts, though they have a tough time keeping my attention. Grandpa competed with the Yankees 12-0 victory over Los Angeles and Grandma with cousin Daisy eating crackers.

Happy Birthday, America!

While I feel bad for not writing more often this week, I've been really busy celebrating Independence Day Week. When we got back from Newport, daddy took me to the supermarket to stock up on "necessities" or, as mommy and daddy like to call them, "breakfast." None for me until later, though...

Mommy and I had lunch with "Aunt" Celena and the whole family had dinner with "Uncle" Mo and "Aunt" Lauren. I'm so sad that they are moving to Singapore, but they promise to stay in touch via webcam. Daddy made several editorial contributions to the Dow Jones Asia after a few kaffir lime martinis.

I had lunch with some of mommy's colleagues to help wish Lauren a bon voyage. (See, I'm practicing my French, mom, and I already ordered my passport - when are we going to Europe?)

Then we headed up to Mahopac for relaxation with the family, including my North Carolina cousins. Everybody loves holding me and Tibor held me for the first time. Someday I'll be big and strong like him. I also had a lot of fun with Zdenka.
