Oh the Wonderful Sounds Miss Liana Can Do...

...I can act like a cow, I can go "Moo, Moo!" I have become incredibly vocal these past few weeks. "Mommy" and "Daddy" remain two of my favorite words, but I've added quite a few others, including...

"WaWa" (I emptied Lake Mahopac, one bucket at a time.)


"Hug" (I can never get, or give, enough of those.)


"Head" (...shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes...)


"Up" and "Down" (and up and down and up and down - gosh I love my rocking chairs!)


"Car" (We went to BJ's and mommy let me drive.)


I've also added some animal noises (with apologies to my favorite author, Sandra Boynton, for the copyright infringement...)

Happy Birthday, Charlotte!

Today my oldest cousin, Charlotte, turns 8. I really miss her because she lives in North Carolina and I don't get to see her nearly enough. Fortunately her mommy and daddy are bringing her to New York next week and I'll get to celebrate with her.

Baby Got Back!

Now that I'm such a fast walker, people end up seeing a lot more of me from behind. Daddy and mommy took me for a long walk...


...which ended up at the Diana Ross Playground, where I sat my tushie right on the slide. You'll note from this video that I can now handle the whole process without ass-istance (no pun intended).


There is no place to sit in my new room, so I think I'll just walk around and take a look.


This morning I plopped my tuchus in a high chair so that Oscar and Daisy and I could have brunch with some of our relatives.


They loved the banana cotton candy, butt (tee hee hee!) I was not a fan. A moment of Yellow #7 on your lips, a lifetime on your you-know-what.


I sure enjoyed sitting on Uncle Spencer's lap. How mushie for my tushie!

Happy Gr-anniversary!

Today is BoMa and BoPa's wedding anniversary. I'm sorry I can't be with them to celebrate, but I hope they have a wonderful day (and year) together!

And they lived happily the morning after...

This weekend Josh and Dana got married. I wasn't invited to the wedding, but I did get to celebrate with them the next morning. I was afraid they were going to kiss, so I had to cover my eyes (I'm too young for this!)


It was so much fun to have my family together including Aunt Abi from San Francisco, and BoMa, BoPa and Nana from Boston, especially on Father's Day.


It was also a treat to see Emma again. I couldn't resist hugging her until we both toppled over. What fun!


The brunch was held at the hotel where mommy and daddy got married 4.5 years ago. They showed me the view of the New York harbor...


...and we took a photo that replicated one from their wedding day. Only I got to be in it and they weren't drinking champagne. I wonder if those two things are related?

Happy Daddy's Day!!

I wanted to make sure that daddy and I spent his second father's day together. I thought I was present enough, but he wanted me to give him five also.

Slumber Parties at Grandma & Grandpa's

Two weeks ago I spent my first overnight away from mommy and daddy. Grandma, grandpa, and I painted our toenails, told ghost stories, and gossiped about boys. Not really, but I had a lot of fun!

Last night I slept over in Mahopac, which was really exciting. We went swimming, ate watermelon, and slept in. I wished we could have stayed longer. Since I left my camera at home, this was the best we could do to capture my adventure...from mommy and daddy's perspective.

Playing-A-Ground

Among my adventures in Boston this weekend, we took a tour of several local playgrounds including one where daddy used to play. Nana, mommy, and I enjoyed our lunch on the bench.


At a second nearby playground, I went down the slide with BoMa...then I went down the slide with BoPa.


Look BoMa, there's another playground we can visit!!

Element-ary School

Mommy, daddy and I returned to daddy's school for his reunion this weekend. We visited the science labs where he first dissected a frog (yuck!) and singed his arm hair on a Bunsen burner. Most importantly, I got to see myself on the periodic table. Atomic number 3: Li-anium.


We got to hear some a capella music, including "Jerusalem" which happens to be a favorite of both mommy and daddy's alma maters. Somebody "Bring me my chariot of fire" - I've got to get out of here!


Then I got to meet some of daddy's old friends.

A Nora-easta in Bahstahn

Mommy, daddy, and I finally met Baby Nora this morning for breakfast. My mommy and daddy went to college with her mommy and daddy about a bajillion years ago. At first, I have to admit I was a little jealous when mommy picked her up...


But it didn't take long until Nora learned to appreciate just how fabulous I am, especially in mommy's "gasses."

Home Sweet Construction Site

Today mommy, daddy, and I went to visit our new apartment. It's being gut renovated and right now there seem to be a lot of guts and a few renovations. I'm told that those aren't body bags, they're filled with the floors they took out.


Daddy brought our tape measure so we could be sure that all my toys will fit down the hallway to...


...my new room. Those cans are filled with PINK paint, as you may have guessed.


In our new neighborhood they were selling a bubble blower that made the biggest bubbles I, or mommy, or daddy had ever seen. They were amazing!! Maybe we can buy some for our new home?
